...GOLF! Yes, friends, golf season is just around the corner - unless you live in Lethbridge where they've been golfing since mid-February... One of the things ASET chapters are known for is their annual golf tournaments. These fun events are a great way to get to know your fellow ASET members while enjoying the sun and a morning or afternoon on the links. Some tournaments even raise money for the Engineering Technology Scholarship Foundation of Alberta (ETSFA), established by ASET's Past Presidents to support up-and-coming technicians and technologists. So not only do you get to play golf, you may also be encouraging future ASET members!
Here are the tournaments I know of as of April 12 (click the links for full information):
Calgary - Thursday, June 7 at the Silverwing Golf Course. $90 + GST. Includes free golf jacket!
Lethbridge - Thursday, June 14 at the Picture Butte Golf Club. $110 + GST. Early birds are entered in a draw for an iPad2 (by May 21)!
Edmonton - Tuesday, August 28 at The Ranch Golf and Country Club. Early birds $125 + GST (by July 13); regular $145 + GST.
If you're not a golfer, some tournaments have spots saved for 'dinner only' guests. If you'd like more information on any of the ASET golf tournaments, please contact me, Lynnell Prediger at lynnellp@aset.ab.ca or 1.800.272.5619 ext. 214.
See you on the links!
